Mrs. Shanita Coleman-Dockery, MSN, FNP, is a member of the nursing faculty at Vanderbilt University. She has practiced as a family nurse practitioner for the past ten years and is a published researcher in Pediatric Infectious Disease. A founding member of the Nashville Chapter-National Black Nurses Association; she continues to provide holistic care in a rural family practice. Mrs. Dockery is married to Reverend Rueben Dockery, Sr., and is the proud parent of Kayla Renee Dockery (Biology major at Trevecca Nazarene University) and Rueben Dockery, Jr. (Engineering major at Case Western Reserve University).
Mr. Vencen Horsley, civil rights figure and inspirational speaker who was arrested seven times and experienced physical abuse, while participating in sit-in demonstrations, downtown Nashville in 1962. Educated in Nashville public schools, he retired from E.I. DuPoint Company, after forty-four years as a production operator and serving as a union officer for twenty years. Currently, he volunteers for the Pencil Foundation at McKissack Middle School. He has been happily married to Doris Branch Horsley for the past twenty-eight years. All of his children are grown living successful lives.
Dr. Timothy Green is a dynamic, enthusiastic, instructional leader dedicated to the concept that every learner can become an educated, confident, self-directed, positive, lifelong learner whose performance is a credit to themselves and an ever-changing global society. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management and Human Relations, Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education, Master of Education in Administration and Supervision and a Doctorate in Education: Educational Leadership, from Trevecca Nazarene University. Dr. Green recently completed his first book entitled: The Interactive Student Notebook: An Instructional Strategy for all Learners.
Formal star athlete turned drug dealer and street hustler and now life coach, Rev. Ricky Waller is the pastor of New Way Outreach Ministries, based in Nashville, Tennessee. He is the author of the powerful, instructional book, Still High. Today he serves as living proof that if a young person is at risk to criminal acts, they can be redeemed. He has a very inspiring presentation on how to avoid, what he calls the “Trap” that leads to social demise and self destruction.
